[LV2] What is the most bare-bones way to run LV2 plugins?

LADSPA comes with listplugins, applyplugin and applyplugin.

I don't see equivalents in the LV2 distribution.

So, the natural question is what comes closest to listplugins, 
applyplugin and applyplugin in LV2?

I found one project called "ingen" that is supposed to run LV2 plugins, 
but it is by no means simple, and it relies on many yet-unreleased 
packages, making it hard to build.


So what is the simplest way to, say, run LV2 to convert one wav into 
another?
