For some (most obviously Ardour, which is why this exists), yes.  For
others, not so much.

Frankly I have zero interest in adding a pile of XML dependencies to my
hosts just for this, since they use the same small Turtle implementation
for everything and everything LV2ey fits nicely together and uses the
same data model.

Dynamic .midnam of any sort is not very tasteful to me, either.
