a re-based version of the patch to add externalUI to jalv can be found
at http://robin.linuxaudio.org/tmp/jalv_extui_svn5245.diff
I find it quite handy for testing external-UIs during development.

I never had any real intentions to make this a valid official URI; but I
would not veto it to become one.
